USAID funded Fish Innovation Lab organized Bangladesh Sector Meeting at Syed Nazrul Islam Conference Hall of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) Mymensingh on Monday with view to presenting progress and future plan of the funded research projects in Bangladesh .
Prof Dr. Lutful Hassan, VC of Bangladesh Agricultural University was present as the Chief Guest with special guests Prof Dr. Md. Abdul Mansur, Dean Faculty of Fisheries BAU, Dr. Md.Aftab Hossain, Deputy Director, DoF, Mymensingh and Dr. Khalilur Rahman Director , BFRI.
The programme has been chaired by Dr. M. Gulam Hussain, Asia regional Coordinator of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Fish, Mississippi State University, USA, while Professor Dr. Mark L. Lawrence, Director of the USAID Fish Innovation Lab provided an overview of the aim, objectives and activities of the lab in the developing and underdeveloped countries. Professor Dr. Madan M. Dey, Asia specialist of the lab offered inaugural speech of the meeting.
