Bangladesh seal fifth consecutive ODI series win

Bangladesh have thrashed Zimbabwe by 58 runs in the second One Day International sealing the three-match series, five in a row. Bangladesh scored 241/9 in 50 overs after Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first against the hosts at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. The visitors were 183 losing all wickets by 43.2 overs. Paceman Mustafizur Rahman has made a splendid woodwork bagging three important wickets for host’s side to seal the game. Al-Amin Hossain and Nasir Hossain took two wickets each. Al-Amin Hossain split the 80-run partnership by Zimbabwe skipper Elton Chigumbura (47) and Sikandar Raza (33) within his two consecutive overs. Imrul Kayes who came in for the absence of Shakib Al Hasan was the top scorer who made 76 runs. Besides, Nasir Hossain scored 41 while Sabbir Rahman 33. Zimbabwe pacer Tinashe Panyangara bagged 3 wickets for 41 while pacer Taurai Muzarabani and spinner Graeme Cremer got 2 wickets each for 32 and 41. Earlier, the hosts thrashed the visitors by 145 runs in the first ODI. This is Bangladesh`s fifth consecutive ODI series win which the Tigers started beating Zimbabwe 5-0 last year and then defeating Pakistan, India and South Africa.
