Bangladesh safe in PM’s hands: Rezaul

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim said Bangladesh is in a good position under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“The country is now safe in the hands of Sheikh Hasina,” he said.
The minister said this on Friday while exchanging greetings with heroic freedom fighters on the occasion of the great Victory Day at Pirojpur District Muktijoddha Complex auditorium in Pirojpur as the chief guest.
Talking about the freedom fighters of the country, he said the freedom fighters are getting respect and regular allowance.
At the behest of the premier, the hospital has free cabins for the freedom fighters, he said, adding that the freedom fighters can travel in government transports without fare.
The minister said the communal forces will not be allowed to emerge in the country. The roots of anti-independence forces will be uprooted, he added.
Pirojpur Additional Deputy Commissioner and Pirojpur District Muktijoddha Sangsad Administrator Chowdhury Raushan Islam presided over the function.
Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Abu Ali Md Sajjad Hossain, Superintendent of Police Hayatul Islam Khan, Pirojpur District Awami League General Secretary M A Hakim Hawlader, former District Commander of Pirojpur District Unit were present, among others.
 Command of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Gautam Narayan Roy Chowdhury, former District Commander Sameer Kumar Das Bachchu and former District Commander Md Fazlul Haque Sentuas
The minister later inaugurated the newly constructed Muktijoddha Memorial in Pirojpur in memory of the martyrs of the Great Liberation War.
