Bangladesh on Thursday registered 22 deaths and 1,773 new cases of coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours.
“The death toll reached to 408 while the caseload surged to 28,511 with the new cases,” Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said it in a regular press briefing in Dhaka.
Among the deceased, 19 were male and three female, according to government.
Dr. Sultana said, another 395 COVID-19 patients were released from different hospitals during the period, bringing the tally to 5,605.
The DGHS official said, total 10,262 samples were tested at authorised laboratories across the country in the period.
