The match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 between Bangladesh and Qatar will be held in Qatar on December 4.
Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has given permission to stage the match on December4 after getting approval of FIFA.
AFC disclosed this matter in its official website on Wednesday. The away match between Bangladesh and Qatar of their Group-E match will be held on December 4.
The Qualifiers matches of Bangladesh were postponed by AFC for an uncertain time.
Later, Bangladesh and Qatar showed their eagerness to stage the match in scheduled time.
FIFA and AFC informed that if the participating teams are interested to play each other, they will be allowed to do that. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and Qatar Football Federation were agreed to play the match. Hosts Qatar want to get permission and FIFA and AFC has given the consent.
Bangladesh’s home matches against India, Afghanistan and Oman were still postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. Bangladesh lost to Qatar by two goals to nil in last year’s October at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Bangladesh showed a gimmick performance in that match.
