Sports Reporter :
Bangladesh preliminary squad reached Colombo on Monday to play two Test matches against Sri Lanka.
Before leaving the city for Sri Lanka Team Leader of Bangladesh preliminary squad Khaled Mahmud Sujon said, ” We must want to win. We want to show our best performance there. The team, which will play better brand of cricket, will win the matches. We dominated over West Indies in Chattogram for first four days. But we lost to them. We don’t want to do that in Sri Lanka. We want to keep our attention for a long time.”
Sujon said, ” The weather condition of Sri Lanka is too hot. The wickets of Sri Lanka are good. Sri Lanka are tough side in their home soil. But our side have better skill. If we can play our best cricket, I hope we shall do well.”
He said, ” Though we could not show a better brand of cricket in the last Test matches, but we have capability to win. We know about the condition of Sri Lanka. We shall try to play our best cricket. If we can do that I think we have capacity to win.”
He also said, ” The players are physically fit. They try hard in the field. But they could not perform well now-a-days. We have to play as a team. Individual performance is not enough to win. We now want to play as team.”
