Bangladesh preliminary squad members to reach hotel today

Members of Bangladesh preliminary squad will reach at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city today. Before entering the hotel, members of Bangladesh preliminary squad underwent Covid-19 test on Monday. If they become negative for coronavirus test they will enter the hotel.
Senior Media Manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Rabeed Imam confirmed this matter to this Reporter over telephone on Monday.
Meanwhile, the touring Sri Lanka Cricket team are now at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. Their quarantine period will come to an end on today. Sri Lanka Cricket team arrived in Dhaka on May16 to play a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh Cricket team.
The cricketers of Bangladesh preliminary squad will start their practice today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur.
The 23-member preliminary squad will play an intra-squad practice match at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan Ground on May 20.
After the match, Chief Selector of the BCB Minhajul Abadin Nannu will likely announce the 16-member final squad.
Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the first ODI at the SBNCS on May 23, will face the tourists in the second ODI at the same venue on May 25, will play against the visitors in the third ODI at the same venue on May 28. All the matches will be Day/Night affairs.
