The members of Bangladesh preliminary football squad took pert in practice session at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday. The booters of Bangladesh participated in training session to mark the upcoming Group-E matches of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers at Doha, the capital city of Qatar.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s Saudi Arabia campaign was cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic on Monday last. Bangladesh preliminary football squad were scheduled to take part in a conditioning camp at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The footballers were scheduled to play some warm-up football matches there. But suddenly the authority of Saudi Arabia cancelled the flight of Bangladesh booters. Bangladesh preliminary football squad will leave for Doha on May 30 to play rest of their Group-E matches of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan on June 3 while the Red-and-Green outfit will face India on June 7 and Bangladesh will meet Oman on June 15.
 Meanwhile, Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Jamie Day announced the 25-member squad for the upcoming matches of World Cup qualifiers.
The squad: Sahidul Alam, Rasel Mahmud Liton, Anisur Rahman Zico (Goalkeepers), Rahmat Mia, Topu Barman, Riyadul Islam Rafi, Yeasin Arafat, Rimon Hossain, Mehedi Hasan, Habibur Rahman Sohag, Tariq Rahman Kazi, Md Emon (Defenders), Jamal Bhuiyan, Md Abdullah, Masuk Miah Jony, Sohel Rana, Biplo Ahamed, Matin Miah, Rakib Hossain, Manik Hossain Molla, Mehedi Hasan (Midfielders), Mahbubur Rahman Sufil, Sumon Reza, Mohammad Jewel and Md Ibrahim (Forwards).
