Bangladesh Police emerged as the champions in the Men’s Division of the Walton First Beach Throwball Competition beating Glorious Sporting Club of Dhaka by 2-0 sets in the final at the Laboni Point of Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Khelaghor Samaj Kalyan Sangha became champions in the Women’s Division defeating Jatrabari Sporting Club by 2-0 sets in the final at the same venue on the same day.
Ziaul Haque of Bangladesh Police was adjudged the best player of the Men’s Division while Dulali of Khelaghor Samaj Kalyan Sangha was adjudged the best player of the Women’s Division.
The champions, the runners-up were awarded trophies while the best players got the home appliance of Walton.
After the final matches, Police Super of Cox’s Bazar district Shyamal Kumar Nath distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. The officials of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association were with him as special guests. General Secretary of Bangladesh Throwball Association Shamim-Al-Mamun was present at the time.
