Bangladesh Navy emerged as the champions of the Fu-Wang Polymer Industries Limited Victory Day Hockey Competition beating BKSP by 3-2 goals in the final at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
The first half was locked 1-1.
Mainul of Bangladesh Navy put his team ahead by a field goal in the 14th minute of the play.
Ashraful of BKSP leveled the margin using a penalty corner in the 21st minute of the clash.
Roman of Bangladesh Navy made it 2-1 by a field goal in the 46th minute of the encounter.
Sohanur of BKSP equalized the margin capitalizing a penalty corner in the 52nd minute of the game.
Farhad of Bangladesh Navy scored the match-decider utilizing a penalty corner in the 61st minute of the play.
Bangladesh Navy, the champions of the tournament was awarded a cash of Taka fifty thousand while BKSP, the runners-up of the meet got a cash of Taka thirty thousand.
Rabbi of BKSP was adjudged the Player of the Tournament. He was given Taka ten thousand. Asharaful of BKSP, the highest scorer of the meet was awarded Taka ten thousand.
After the final match, President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation and Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Abu Esrar distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Chairman of ATN Bangla Dr Mahfuzur Rahman was with him as the special guest.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) Abdur Rashid Shikder and Vice-President of BHF Khawaja Rahmatullah were present at the time.
