Bangladesh Navy emerged as new champions in the Citycell Independence Day Basketball Tournament beating Bangladesh Army by 70-58 points in the final at the Dhanmondi Indoor Basketball Gymnasium here on Tuesday.
The winners led the first half by 44-25 points. Mitni caged 26 and Rashed 16 points for the winners while Barkatullah scored 12 and Rahim 11 points for the losers.
President of Bangladesh Basketball Federation and former parliament member Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin was the chief guest in the day’s final and prize giving ceremony and distributed the trophies.
