Bangladesh National Hockey team left the city on Sunday night for Malaysia to play two practice matches against the selected two teams of Malaysia. After that Bangladesh National Hockey team will leave for Singapore to take part in the FIH World League Round 2 scheduled to be held in Singapore from January 17 to January 25.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups are taking part in the hockey meet. Bangladesh, Japan, Poland, Mexico have been billed in Pool B while Malaysia, Oman, Ukraine, Singapore have been placed in Pool A.
The players of Bangladesh National Hockey team are: Md Khorshedur Rahman, Md Sarower Hossain, Md Milon Hossain, Md Abu Sayed Nippon, Farhad Ahmed Shetul, Md Mamunur Rahman Chayan, Mohammad Ashraful Islam, Asim Gope, Mohammad Roman Sarkar, AHM Kamruzzaman, Rezaul Karim Babu, Pushkor Khisa, Md Hasan Jubair, Krishno Kumar Das, Mohammad Mainul Islam, Rashel Mahmud, Md Imran Hasan, Rimon Kumar Ghosh.
The officials are: Kamrul Islam (Manager), Md Rafiqul Islam Kamal (Assistant Manager), ANM Mamun Ur Rashed (Coach), Mohammad Shahbaz Ali (Umpire).
