Bangladesh mission pays homage to India’s first Air Marshal

Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi paid homage to India’s first Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh, who died of cardiac arrest on Saturday.
He was 98.
Deputy High Commissioner ATM Rokebul Haque and Defence Advisor Brigadier General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman placed wreaths at Arjan Singh’s coffin before his cremation on Monday.
Marshal Singh served as the chief of Indian Air Force from 1964 to 1969, according to a message received here from Bangladesh mission in New Delhi.
He held the office of the Lt. Governor of Delhi from 1989-1990 besides serving as India’s envoy to Kenya and Switzerland.
