17th Asiad Football: Bangladesh meet Hong Kong today

Bangladesh Under-23 football team will take on upper-ranked Hong Kong on Monday in their last group match at the Hwaseong Sport Complex Main Stadium in Incheon, South Korea.
The match will kick off at 2:00 pm (Bangladesh Time)
In the 4-team Group-B, Bangladesh is now the 3rd slot securing three points from two matches with 1-0 win against Afghanistan in the first match and a 0-3 loss against Uzbekistan in the 2nd match.
Uzbekistan leads the group securing four points with better goal difference (4-1); Hong Kong is in the 2nd slot also with four points while Afghanistan remained at bottom having no points, all playing two matches.
Bangladesh will take to the field tomorrow (Monday) in a must win situation for their round of 16 berth from the group as only the group champions and runners-up teams will qualify from each group for the round of 16.
A total of 29 Asian football team, split in eight groups, are competing in the men’s soccer of the Asian Games.
Meanwhile, the victory over SAFF champions Afghanistan in the opener on Monday (Sept 15) at the Munhak Stadium was the 3rd win for Bangladesh in their 21 matches of the Asian Games Football. With that feat, Bangladesh returned to the winning track in the Asian Games Football after 28 years.
On Monday’s another Group B match, lower placed Afghanistan will meet topper Uzbekistan at Goyang Stadium, also at 2:00pm (Bangladesh Time).
