Bangladesh women’s team suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Sri Lanka in their final Women’s T20 Asian Cup match held on Saturday at Asian Institute of Technology ground in Bangkok.
Put to bat first, Bangladesh managed to score 93 for 3 from their allotted 20 overs with Sanjida Islam making highest 35 while Shaila Sharmin scoring an unbeaten 25. But a run-rate of just over 4.5 was never been defendable in the T20 format and the Lankan comfortably reached home making 97 for 3 with six balls to spare.
