Yonex-Sunrise Bangladesh Junior International Badminton series was inaugurated on Tuesday at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city. Youth and Sports Secretary M Akhtar Hossain formally launched the six-day meet as the chief guest while Bangladesh Olympic Association deputy secretary general Ashikur Rahman Miku was present as the special guest. Bangladesh Badminton Federation (BBF) president Abdul Malek presided over the opening ceremony. BBF general secretary Amir Hossain Bahar was also present on the occasion. A total of 62 shutlers from host Bangladesh, Malaysia, India, Nepal, the USA and Thailand are taking part in the meet.
