Mahbub Hasan Saleh, the deputy chief of mission, Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, attended the memorial service of boxing legend Muhammad Ali at the ‘KFC Yum! Center’ in Louisville, Kentucky, in the USA on Friday evening.
The boxing legend was buried in a private ceremony earlier on June 10 after a funeral procession that paraded the city. The deputy chief of mission placed a floral wreath (on behalf of Bangladesh) at the designated place in Muhammad Ali Center in the city late in the afternoon on June 9.
Ali, who proclaimed himself “The Greatest” and was among the most famous and beloved athletes on the planet, died at a Phoenix-area hospital in Arizona on June 3, where he had spent the past few days being treated for respiratory complications.
