Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said Bangladesh is a role model in the world for fulfilling the targets of Millennium Development Goal (MDG) as it has made significant strides in different indicators of development.
“Bangladesh has been lauded globally for making its considerable progresses in women empowerment, attaining gender parity, child and maternal mortality rate reduction,” she said this on Monday while signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here.
The MoU was signed between Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad and Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU) on “Maternal Neonatal and Child Health.”
