Bangladesh-India Nazrul Conference begins Nov 25

Nazrul Academy will arrange a week-long Bangladesh-India Nazrul Conference 2015 from November 25 to December 3 in Dhaka, Feni and Chittagong districts.
The Academy will arrange the conference to encourage Nazrul education and also to improve bilateral relationship between these two countries. As a part of the cultural exchange programme between India and Bangladesh, a 17-member of Nazrul organisation, Agniveena from India will visit Bangladesh. The first two days programme is scheduled to be held at Music and Dance Centre Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital’s Segunbagicha area on November 25 and 26. Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament Advocate Md Fazle Rabbi Mia MP will inaugurate the conference which will be presided over by President of Nazrul Academy and noted folklore expert Dr Ashraf Siddiqui. Granddaughter and grandson of Kazi Nazrul Islam Khilkhil Kazi and Suborno Kazi will be also present on the occasion.
This was announced at a press conference held at the Conference Lounge of the National Press Club on Monday.
General Secretary of Nazrul Academy Mintu Rahman announced the conference schedule, while Vice president Syed Akhter Yusuf, noted Nazrul singer and Principal of Nazrul Academy Khalid Hossain, joint secretary Engr M Atikur Rahman, treasurer Md Shahabuddin Khan, Secretary for research, publication and international affairs M Mizanur Rahman, EC member poet Abdul Muqit Chowdhury, publication secretary Reza Matin, Imam Hossain Chanchal, among others, were present at the press conference.
