Bangladesh Under-15 Football team will take on India Under-15 Football team in their do-or-die match of the SAFF Under-15 Championship at Kalyani Stadium in Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal today. The match kicks-off at 3.30 PM.
A total of five teams are taking part on the single league basis of the first phase of the SAFF Under-15 Championship. Top two teams will get tickets of the final, which is slated on August 31.
India almost confirmed their final berth securing nine points from three matches. Besides, India took the top spot with better goal advantage than any other team.
Bangladesh and Nepal earned six points from three matches. Nepal will face minnows Bhutan in their last match today at 12.30 PM. It may be mentioned that it is an easy task for Nepal to beat low-rated Bhutan in a big margin.
But if Bangladesh beat India today, Bangladesh will confirm their final berth.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-15 Football team Mostafa Anwar Parvez said, ” Tomorrow’s match is do-or-die match for us. If we want to play in the final, we have to win against India. I have made a plan to beat India. I am not interested now to disclose my plan. My one boy is not fit. He is injured. You shall watch our performance in the field. I am hoping that if my boys can play according to my plan, we shall win the match.”
It is noteworthy that Bangladesh are the defending champions of the meet.
