AFC U-14 Girls Football: Bangladesh hope to clinch title

Bangladesh Under-14 Women’s Football Team hopeful to clinch the title of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-14 Regional (South and Central) Championship when they play against host Nepal in the final at Army Physical Fitness Training ground, Kathmandu on Sunday.
On the eve of the final day, Bangladesh Under-14 Women’s Football Team head coach Golam Rabbani Choton expressed positive hope saying, “Hope we will bring a good result for the Country.”
The coach also expected pressing football in the final from her young girls, “Our girls will play full attacking in the match.”
Terming Nepal team as a good team, Bangladesh captain Krishna Rani said “We will fight strongly with our best for winning the match.”
On the other hand, Nepal head coach allowed that both the sides have proven themselves in this tournament reaching in the Final. The Nepalese coach expected that there will be a tough fight in the final.
Nepal captain Neal also ready to fight with their best in the final as she considers there will be 50- 50 chances for both team to win the title.
“We also try to win the final as we expecting to meet Bangladesh in the final from the first round of the league,” the captain concluded.
Both sides came up with there hopes in the pre-match press conference at Grand Hotel in Kathmandu on Saturday noon.
However, Bangladesh women U-14 team left home on Friday and safely arrived at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport at 4:30pm (local time) where they were welcomed by All Nepal Women’s Football Association president Kalpana Piya Shrestha.
Bangladesh had a nice practice session on Saturday morning at the final venue and everyone in the team’s are fit in physically and mentally.
The final battle of the seven-nation participating — Bangladesh, host Nepal, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, IR Iran and Sri Lanka — football championship originally scheduled to be held at Dashrath Stadium in April which had been canceled due to devastating earthquake in Nepal on April 25 a day before the final.
Bangladesh confirmed their final berth defeating Iran by 2-0 goals in the semifinal while Nepal moved to final beating India by a solitary goal in another semifinal.
Channel-71 of Bangladesh will telecast live the final while Kantipur Gold TV of Nepalese also telecast the match.
