Bangladesh Hockey team off to Bangkok

Bangladesh Hockey team left the city for Bangkok on Wednesday night to take part in the Asian Games Hockey Qualifiers scheduled to be held at Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand from May 6 to May 15. Vice-President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) Zaki Ahmed Ripon, Vice-President of BHF Mohammad Yousuf Ali and Acting General Secretary of BHF Mohammad Yousuf saw Bangladesh Hockey team off at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore have been billed in Group-B, while Oman, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Thailand have been placed in Group-A.
Bangladesh will take on Indonesia on May 7, face Sri Lanka on May 10 and meet Singapore on May 12.
After finishing their Asian Games Hockey Qualifiers, Bangladesh will compete in Hero Asia Cup Hockey, which is scheduled to be held in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia from May 23 to June 1.
Bangladesh, Malaysia, South Korea, Oman have been placed in Group-B, while India, Pakistan, Japan, Indonesia have been slatted in Group-A.
Bangladesh will take on South Korea on May 23, meet Oman on May 24, face Malaysia on May 26.
