Bangladesh footballers start practice at Doha

Bangladesh Football team started their practice at Doha, the capital city of Qatar on Sunday. After reaching Doha on November 19 for the first time members of Bangladesh team took part in their practice sessions in the outdoor. Bangladesh team arrived in Qatar to play their away match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 against the hosts on December 4.
Bangladesh have a good news as the Manager of Bangladesh Football team Amer Khan and Physiotherapist Fuad Hasan have tested negative for coronavirus in Doha. They underwent Covid-19 test for the second time in Doha on Saturday. They got their corona report on Sunday.
Earlier, they were tested positive of coronavirus in the first Covid-19 test in Doha.
Media Manager of Bangladesh team Hasan Mahmud said, “Everyone tested negative in result of the tests that came out today. Amer and Fuad need to give another test after two days.”
He said, “Amer Khan and Fuad Hasan will take a seven-day quarantine at the hotel in Doha from the time they first tested positive (Friday).”
Head Coach of Bangladesh team Jamie Day could not go to Doha with his boys after he was tested positive before Bangladesh team left Dhaka for Qatar. Jamie Day has tested Covid-19 positive, is still positive as per the latest test done on Saturday last.
Meanwhile, Qatar Football Association has finalized the opponent teams for Bangladesh’s two practice matches in Doha. The footballers of Bangladesh will face Qatar Army, an amateur team on November 25. The booters of Bangladesh will take on Lusail Sports Club,a second division side of Qatar on November 28.
It may be mentioned that Qatar Football Association has fixed the date, time and venue for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 between Qatar and Bangladesh.
Bangladesh will take on Qatar at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha at 10.00pm (Bangladesh Time) on December 4.
