Bangladesh Under-15 National Women’s Football team finished runners-up in the SAFF Under-15 Women’s Championship after losing to Indian team by 1-0 in the final at Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan on Saturday.
After a barren first half, Sunita Munda of India
scored the all-important goal by a volley shot in the 66th minute of the play.
After ten minutes, Bangladesh got chance to level the margin, but Monika Chakma’s long-range shot bounced back from the cross-piece.
By virtue of yesterday’s victory, India emerged as the champions of the football meet.
