Bangladesh National Hockey team will face Thailand National Hockey team in their first match of the Asian Games Hockey Qualifiers at Muscat, the capital city of Oman today.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups are taking part in the hockey meet.
Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Thailand, Afghanistan are in Pool-A, while Oman, Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan are in Pool-B.
Bangladesh will take on Hong Kong on March 11.
Bangladesh will meet Afghanistan on March 13.
Then the eight teams will take part in the place-deciding match. Of them, top five teams will qualify for the final round of the Asian Games Hockey Competition.
