Under-16 SAFF champions Bangladesh team embark on a new mission having a home ground advantage as they face the mighty Saudi Arabia in the opening match of AFC U-16 Championship India 2016 Qualifiers schedule to be held today (Wednesday) at the country’s premier venue Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
The match kicks off at 6 pm. State-owned Bangladesh Television telecast the match live while Bangladesh Betar will provide a running live commentary of the match.
Though there is a huge difference in world ranking compared to Saudi Arabia, but juvenile Bangladesh boys would like to take inspiration from their maiden SAFF championship title and try to avoid the overcome the Saudi avalanche.
The good part for the host is that Saudi Arabia team has no idea about the strength and strategy of the current Bangladesh U-16 team and therefore not able to set any game plan against Bangladesh in tomorrow’s outing and one expects that the host should take this opportunity to avoid total humiliation.
Saudi Arabia is technically and tactically better than Bangladesh, but when compared physically, both sides are off a similar built. If boys of red and green able to keep their nerve cool, they can surprise their rated superior rival.
Partisan fans believes that the way the boys of red and green brought the SAFF crown showing good sprite and strong mentality, they will be again able to show the same attitude in this championship.
The rates of tickets for Taka 50 for VIP and Taka 30 for gallery have been fixed.
The tickets will be available at the stadium counters during the match day.
Besides, the school students can watch this match free, only they can go inside gate no 6 showing their respective school’s ID card.
