Rejuvenated Bangladesh fresh from their incredible win against India take on Oman in their second match of Boys’ Under-18 Asia Cup Hockey scheduled to be held today (Tuesday) at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
The match kicks off at 3 pm.
Earlier, Bangladesh crossed the major hurdle of the event as they beat tournament favourites India in an exciting match by 5-4 goals. India came back strongly to dump Oman by 11- 0 goals on Sunday.
Oman needs a Herculean task as they will have to beat Bangladesh by 7-0 margin to insure a place in semifinals while host Bangladesh are firmly placed needing only a draw to top their group. Bangladesh has three points from one match while India also has three points but they have played two matches.
In the day’s other two matches, Chinese-Taipei will take on China at 11 am while Pakistan meet Hong Kong at 1 pm to be held at the same venue.
