Bangladesh take on India in their third and last group E match of the AFC Under-23 Football 2016 Qualifiers schedule to be held today (Tuesday) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
The match kicks off at 6 pm.
In the day’s other group E last match, Syria will face Uzbekistan that will start at 3 pm.
Private satellite channel “Channel 9” telecast both the matches live.
Earlier, Bangladesh and India lost both their previous two matches and looking to finish the championship with a win.
Bangladesh lost to Syria and Uzbekistan both by 0-4 goals while India suffered a 0-2 goal defeat to Uzbekistan and 0-4 goal defeat to Syria in their first and second group matches respectively.
Addressing at a pre-match press conference at the Bangladesh Football Federation Bhaban conference room on Monday, Bangladesh head coach Lodewijk de Kruif, however, found hopeful about winning the last match against India.
He also hoped of gathering local supporters in the big bowl to cheer the team so that they would able to present some brand of football to restore some pride.
