Bangladesh U-19 Football team start their SAFF U-19 Championship campaign taking on Bhutan in their opening group A match schedule to be held today (Saturday) at the either ANFA Complex or Army ground in Kathmandu, Nepal. The match kicks off at 3.30 pm (local time).
Bangladesh will face hosts Nepal on Monday (Aug 24) in their remaining group engagement.
Ahead of the first match against Bhutan, the bootees had their rigorous practice session atthe Army ground Stadium in this (Friday) morning, according to a message received from BFF on Friday.
After watching the Nepal-Bhutan tournament opening held on Thursday last, Bangladesh coach Golam Zilani said Bhutan team is much improve then before, because they play mostly in this environment condition, Nepal team and Bangladesh are almost similar, So their first target is to reach the last four berth.
Earlier, Bangladesh have been placed in Group A along with hosts Nepal and Bhutan while Group B team consists of India, Afghanistan and the Maldives.
On completion of the group matches, the two semifinals matches will be held on Aug 27 — the first one at 12 noon while the 2nd semis at 3:30 pm.
The final match is slated on August 29 at 3 pm.
