Former Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said Bangladesh has entered golden chapter of development through landslide victory in the 11th parliamentary election held on December 30 in 2018. “Bangladesh will be built as a dignified country within the next five years under dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he made the comments on Monday at a farewell function in the conference room of the Commerce Ministry here.
Welcoming the newly formed cabinet, Tofail said new faces have been inducted into the council of ministers because they (cabinet members) are qualified and tested leader of Awami League.
He said, “I hope the newly formed cabinet will play a vibrant role in accelerating the ongoing progress of development. Bangladesh will witness new feat of development to build the country as “Sonar Bangla” as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.” The country has witnessed a considerable progress in trade and commerce sector in the past 10 years, Tofail said adding, Bangladesh will be a role model of development for many countries of the world. He urged officials and employees of the Commerce Ministry to discharge their duties with sincerity and honesty for implementing the ongoing development programmes within next five years.
