Bangladesh earned one gold and three silver medals in the 18th International Open Karate Championship that concluded in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur recently.
Mohammad Deen Islam of Bangladesh clinched the gold medal in the -60 kgs of Kumi beating his Indonesia rival.
Besides, Deen Islam of Bangladesh Police also won two silver medals in the Kumi and Kata of the Open Masters.
Jewel Rakhit won the other silver medal for Bangladesh in the -67 kags of Kumi.
A good number karatekas from 13 countries took part in the meet.
