UNB, Dhaka :Bangladesh notched the 2nd consecutive victory in the 4th Men’s Junior AHF Cup Hockey Qualifiers crushing Thailand by 10-0 goals in their 2nd match at Moulana Bhashani National hockey Stadium here on Tuesday.Hosts Bangladesh, which made a flying start in the five-team qualifying round beating Chinese Taipei by 7-0 goals on Monday, clearly dominated the first half by 5-0 goals on Tuesday.In the day’s lone match, Khorshedur Rahman and Milon Hossain scored three goals each, Moinul Islam Kaushik struck twice while skipper Sarwar Hossain and Romman Sarker netted one goal each for the winners.Bangladesh opened the floodgate in the very 3rd minute of the match when skipper Sarwar Hossain scored a field goal with fierce hit (1-0) while penalty corner specialist Khorshedur Rahman scored two quick goals in the 7th and 11th minutes from his favorite penalty corners (3-0), Forward Milon Hossain scored a field goal in the 20th minute (4-0) while Khorshedur scored his 3rd goal, the 5th for Bangladesh, also from a penalty corner in the 23rd minute to dominate the first half 5-0.Another forward Moinul Islam Koushik scored a field goal, the 6th for Bangladesh, in the 38th minute (6-0) while Milon scored his 2nd goal, the 7th for Bangladesh, in the 41st minute (7-0). Roman Sarker netted a field goal, the 8th for Bangladesh, in the 44th minute; Koushik further increased home team margin by a field goal in the 48th minute (9-0) while Milon sealed the fate of the match scoring his 3rd goal, the 10th for Bangladesh, in the 57th minute (10-0). The last 13 minutes of the match ended without any goal scored.Bangladesh will play Oman in a vital match on Thursday at 3 pm while Thailand will face Sri Lanka at 12:30 pm on the same day at the same venue.
