A 4-day long first ever long distance cycling race begins from Chittagong yesterday evening from the premises o Chittagong Club.
The cycling race named after Bangladesh Discovery 2014 duly patronised by Japan Embassy in Bangladesh, Bangladesh tourism board, JICA, BD cycling , RTV and the Honourary consul of Japan in Chittagong . The sponsors of the Discovery are IFAD group, Cosmos group, AK Khan & Co Ltd, Uttara Motors, AB Bank, Mitsuibishi Corp, Eastern Motors, ASTECH Ltd, Pedrollo Ltd, Mercentile Bank, Nabisco group and Abdul Monen Ltd. Japan’s Cogway Cycling & Cultural exchange arranged the cycling race A team of 95 cyclist participated in the ride consists of 50 Bangladeshi and 45 foreigners . They started cycling from Chittagong club premises yesterday for onward destination of Coxsbazar sea beach scheduled to reach there on 23 November next.
