Praising Prime Minister Sheikh Haisna’s leadership, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said that Bangladesh is developing fast, according to a press release.
He emphasized cooperation between state owned companies of Azerbaijan and Bangladesh for development of both the countries, the message said.
It said Shahbazov made the remarks at a meeting with Bangladesh’s State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasurl Hamid at his ministry office in Baku yesterday. During the courtesy meeting, they discussed oil and gas projects, power sector and renewable energy and its potential and goal.
Nasrul said, “We have many subsectors in power and energy sector, where Azerbaijan can utilize their experience. Bangladesh is the number one country in the world for installing solar home system.” He said Bangladesh installed 5.8 million Solar Home System and the two countries can share their experience to reduce cost of electricity generation from renewable energy sources.
Nasrul Hamid is now in Azerbaijan for joining Energy Charter Conference in its capital, the message added.
