SAFF U-18 Champ: Bangladesh defeat Sri Lanka 3-0

Bangladesh Under-18 Football team made a flying start in the SAFF Under-18 Championship defeating Sri Lanka Under-18 Football team by three goals to nil in their opening Group-B match at APF Stadium in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal on Saturday.
Tanvir Hossain of Bangladesh gave his team early lead in the first minute of the first half.
After the intervals, Fahim Morshed doubled the margin by scoring a goal in the 86th minute of the play.
Faisal Ahmed Fahim sealed the fate of the match just four minutes before the long whistle.
Bangladesh will take on India in their last Group-B match at the same venue on September 25.
Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka are in Group-B, while hosts Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, Pakistan are in Group-A.
The champions of the Group-A will take on the runners-up of the Group-B in the first semi-final at the same venue on September 27, while the champions of the Group-B will face the runners-up of the Group-A in the second semi-final at the same venue on the same day.
The winners of the two semi-finals will get the tickets of the final. The final will be held at the same venue on September 29.
