The 3rd Bangladesh Cup Taekwondo competition that concluded on Saturday at National Sports Council Gymnasium.
Basundhara taekwondo team emerged men’s senior group champions with eight gold medals while Dhaka District finished runners-up with one gold medal in the same section.
On the other hand, Walton taekwondo team emerged women’s senior group champions with three gold medals while Dhaka district finished runners-up with two gold medals.
Besides, Dhaka district emerged champions in the children section while Narayanganj district finished runners-up in the same section.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, head of games and welfare division of Walton, was the chief guest on the closing day and distributed the prizes.
A total of 172 players from ten teams took part in the three-day meet.
The participating teams are : Dhaka, Narayanganj, Shariatpur, Munshiganj, Dinajpur, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Bashundhara Group taekwondo team , Walton taekwondo team and Bangladesh Ansar.
