Bangladesh crush Scotland by 9 wkts in warm-up match

Bangladesh women’s cricket team notched up a huge nine-wicket victory against Scotland in the warm-up match of the Women’s World T20 Qualifier at VOC Rotterdam, Rotterdam in Netherlands on Thursday.
Bangladesh chased a target of 48 runs; scoring 51 for 1 in 10 overs as Sharmin Sultana fired hammered a boundary in the last ball of the match off Katie McGill.
Bangladesh innings spurred by the unbeaten 2nd pair stand between Ayasha Rahman [23* off 20b; 2×4; 1×6] and Sharmin Sultana [18* off 37b; 2×6] while 10 runs came as extra.
Kathryn Bryce removed the only wicket of Bangladesh in the innings very 3rd ball as opener Shamima Sultand was caught by Katie McGill, leaving team collection zero.
Opening the innings with bat after winnings the toss, Scotland suffered the 1st jolt as Panna Ghosh removed opener-cum-skipper Kathryn Bryce, caught behind by Shamima Sultana, on 14/1 in 4.3 overs.
Scottish top scorer Rachel Scholes [16 off 23b; 3×4] was bowled out by Khadija Tul Kubra on 35/3 in 9.4 overs while another double digit scorer Lorna Jack [11 off 20b; 1×4] was run out on 35/2 in 9.3 overs. All the remaining wickets of Scotland were out on single digits.
Fahima Khatun conceded one run for her three wickets in three overs while Rumana Ahmed (2/8), Lily Rani Biswas (2/10), Khadija Tul Kubra (1/2) and Panna Ghosh (1/9) shared six wickets for Bangladesh.
For the World T20 Qualifier, Bangladesh is placed in Pool A alongside Papua New Guinea (PNG), Netherlands and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Bangladesh will face PNG in their opening fixture on July 7 before taking on Netherlands and UAE on July 8 and 10 respectively.
The top two teams from the eight-nation Qualifiers event will join Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and hosts West Indies in the tournament, scheduled to be staged from November 9-25 in the Caribbean.
