Bangladesh Cricket team to leave for Lanka on Sept 23

Bangladesh National Cricket team will leave the city for Sri Lanka on September 23 to play three Test matches against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. The three-match Test series will start on October 24. The three-match Twenty20 International series are likely to be held between the two teams.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket discussed about the tour before three months due to coronavirus outbreak.
The High Performance Squad of Bangladesh will leave the country for Sri Lanka on the same day. The High Performance Squad will also play against the High Performance Squad of Sri Lanka.
To finalize the ins and outs of the tour, a meeting was held at the BCB Headquarters at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday. BCB Director and Chairman of HP Squad Naimur Rahman Durjoy ,MP, Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of BCB Akram Khan, Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Selector Habibul Bashar Sumon and Chief Executive Committee of BCB Nizamuddin Chowdhury were present in the meeting.
“Bangladesh National Cricket team and HP Squad will leave the country approximately on September 23 for the Sri Lanka tour in the same flight,” Durjoy told the reporters here on Wednesday.
