Bangladesh National Cricket team left the city for West Indies Friday mid-night to play two Test matches, three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International matches against their counterpart West Indies.
Bangladesh will take on West Indies in the first Test match, which will be held from July 4 to July 8 at Antigua in West Indies. The Tigers will face the Caribbeans in the second Test match, which will be held from July 12 to July 16 at Jamaica.
Bangladesh will face West Indies in the first ODI at Guyana in West Indies on July 22, will take on the Caribbeans in the second ODI at the same venue on July 25, will meet the West Indies in the third ODI at St Kitts on July 28.
Bangladesh will take on West Indies in the first T20I at St Kitts on July 31, will face the Caribbeans in the second T20I at Florida in USA on August 4, will meet West Indies in the third T20I at the same venue on August 5.
Besides, Bangladesh will play a two-dayer practice match against their counterpart West Indies on June 28 to June 29 at Antigua. Bangladesh will play a warm-up match against United West Indies Vice Chancellor’s XI at Jamaica on July 19.
Meanwhile, the BCB announced on June 19 the 15-member Bangladesh Test Squad for West Indies tour.
Bangladesh Test Squad: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Liton Kumar Das, Mominul Haque, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Rubel Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Abu Jayed, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Shafiul Islam.
It may be mentioned that the BCB appointed Steve Rhodes as Head Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team recently. As a Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team it will be the first assignment for Steve Rhodes.
