Bangladesh National Cricket team will leave the city for Sri Lanka today to play three One Day International (ODI) matches against their counterpart Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the first ODI on July 26, will face Sri Lanka in the second ODI on July 28 and will meet the Sri Lanka in the last ODI on July 31. All the matches will be held at Premadasa International Stadium in Colombo.
Before taking part in the three-match ODI Series, Bangladesh will play a practice match against the Selected XI of Sri Lanka on July 23.
All the matches will be Day/Night affairs.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on July 16 the 14-member Bangladesh National Cricket Squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka Series.
Number One all-rounder of world cricket Shakib Al Hasan was given rest, wicketkeeper Liton Das was granted leave and pacer Abu Jayed was axed from the Squad.
On the other hand, Anamul Haque and Taijul Islam have been included in the Squad.
Bangladesh Squad: Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Anamul Haque, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim (Wicketkeeper), Mahmudullah Riyad, Mosaddek Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan, Taijul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mustafizur Rahman.
