Bangladesh Cricket team leave Christchurch for Queenstown today. The players, coaching staff, supporting staff have tested negative for coronavirus in their fourth Covid-19 Test. The members of Bangladesh Cricket team underwent their fourth Covid-19 test on Monday last. The results of their coronavirus test were available on Tuesday. It is a good news for Bangladesh team that all the members of Bangladesh team have tested negative for coronavirus.
Bangladesh Cricket team reached Christchurch on February 24. They have to take a 14-day quarantine their. During their quarantine period they underwent Covid-19 test for four times. The members were tested negative for all the Covid-19 test.
After the third Covid-19 test players of Bangladesh team took part in their practice session splitting into several groups. A group was consist of seven members.
As the members of Bangladesh Cricket team have tested negative for the fourth Covid-19 test, they will be totally free. They will be allowed to take part in full-fledged practice session from today. So, the Tigers will leave Christchurch for Queensland today.
Team Leader and Chairman of the Media Committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Jalal Yunus said, ” I have a good news for the cricket lovers of the country. All the members of Bangladesh team are well. We have tested negative in our fourth Covid-19 test. We have no problem. We shall reach Queenstown tomorrow. We shall take part in the full-fledged practice session there.”
Bangladesh Cricket team will take part in a five-day long coaching camp there. After that the team will reach Dunedin. There they will play against New Zealand in the first ODI on March 20. The match begins at 4.00am.
