Bangladesh National Cricket (T20I) team will leave the city for Pakistan today to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket matches against Pakistan in Lahore of Pakistan.
Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the first T20I on January 24, Bangladesh will face Pakistan in the second T20I on January 25 and Bangladesh will meet Pakistan in the last T20I on January 27.
After playing three T20Is, Bangladesh team will return home and then Bangladesh (Test) team and Bangladesh (ODI) team will visit Pakistan. Bangladesh (Test) team will play two Test matches against their counterpart Pakistan and Bangladesh (ODI) team will play a lone ODI matches against their opponents Pakistan in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on January 18 the 15-member Bangladesh (T20I) team to play three T20I matches against Pakistan. Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal and speedster Rubel Hossain have been recalled in the squad. Besides, 20-year old promising pacer Hasan Mahmud and promising batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto have been included in the squad.
It is noteworthy that prolific and world class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will not take part in the upcoming Pakistan series as he was banned by ICC for breaching the code and conduct of ICC. It may be mentioned that Mr dependable Mushfiqur Rahim refused to play in Pakistan due to security reason.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the 15-member Pakistan (T20I) squad to compete three T20I matches against their counterpart Bangladesh. PCB has recalled Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafiz in their squad.
