Bangladesh detected 1,041 new cases of COVID-19 while it reported 14 more death in the last 24 hours, said Professor Dr. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), in a daily online bulletin in Dhaka on Thursday.
“With the new cases, the number of infections reached to 18,863. The body count also surged to 283,” the DGHS officials said.
Dr. Sultana said, total 7,392 samples were tested at 41 authorised laboratories in the last 24 hours.
A total of 201 people were put under isolation in the last 24 hours, she added.
