The Open and the Women group of the Asian Continental Chess Championship will start from tomorrow (Sunday) at Al Ain in United Arab Emirates. Five-member Bangladesh Chess team will take part in the event. GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib and GM Enamul Hossain Razib will participate in the Open section and WIM Shamima Akter Liza will participate in the Women section. Open event is a qualifying event of World Cup Chess and Women section is a qualifyiers for the Women World Chess. International Arbiter Md Haroon Or Rashid of Bangladesh has been nominated as Chief Arbiter of the event. Bangladesh Chess team will leave the city today (Saturday). Bangladesh Chess Federation is providing the expenditures of GM Zia and WIM Liza. Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim, Vice-President of Bangladesh Chess Federation is providing expenditures of GM Rakib and GM Razib.
