The Minister Freeze Bangladesh Championship League will start at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on November 26. The matches of the league will be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium and Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur. Bangladesh Football Federation will arrange the football competition. Minister High-tech Limited is the title sponsor of the football league while Premier Bank Limited is the presenting sponsor of the meet. Besides, Pragati Insurance Limited, Eastern Bank Limited, NOVO Air and Treasure Securities Limited is the co-sponsors of the competition.
Regarding the upcoming football league, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Thursday. The logo unveiling programme and the signing ceremony between BFF and Minister High-tech Limited were also held at the same venue on the same day.
Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, Deputy-Chairman of Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdur Rahim, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Chairman of the Minister High-tech Limited Md MA Razzak Khan, Brand Manager of Minister High-tech Limited MG Kibria were present at the conference, among others.
A total of eight teams will compete in the fourth edition of this football competition. They are: Uttar Baridhara Club, Agrani Bank Sports Club, Arambagh Krira Sangha, Victoria Sporting Club, Wari Club, Fakirerpool Youngmens Club, Bangladesh Police AC and T&T Club, Motijheel.
The competition will be held on double league basis.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk 70 lakh.
The champions will be awarded Tk five lakh while the runners-up will get Tk three lakh as prize-money.
The participating teams will be given Tk five lakh each as participation money.
Top two teams will promote in the Bangladesh Premier League while one bottom team
