Bangladesh has set a bright instance of communal harmony in the world as people of all faiths are now living in the country amid peace and tranquility.
The present government under the prudent and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is pledged to establish communal harmony in the society.
Police officers and community leaders came up with the observation while addressing a meeting of harmony at the premises of Munnujan Government Primary School under Boalia Police Station in the city today.
Boalia Model Police Station of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) hosted the meeting aimed at celebrating the forthcoming Saradiya Durga Puja cordially and peacefully.
With RMP Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique in the chair, Additional Commissioners Faruque Hossain and Bijoy Bosaque and Additional Deputy Commissioner Towhidul Arif addressed the meeting.

Secretary Saymal Kumar Ghosh, Member Kartik Chandra Halder and Joint Secretary of Hindu Buddhist Parishad Principal Ronojit Shaha also spoke on the occasion.
RMP Commissioner Kalam Siddique said the present government has been working relentlessly for ensuring peace and communal harmony and it has attached top priority to all sectors.
He said a responsive and positive role by all quarters is very important for maintaining peace and communal and social harmony.
For the sake of building the nation as a peaceful motherland, all conscious, patriotic and peace-loving people should come forward and work together, he added.
Advocate Sarat Chandra Sarker said that the nation would get rid of conflicts and confusion if the people of the society as well as the state machineries took a positive approach to establish peace and amity from their own position.
The mass-people should take steps to build a national unity to free the nation from the clutches of conflicts, feud and violence, he added.
