A four-member Bangladesh Bodybuilding team left the capital for Japan on Wednesday afternoon to participate in the 49th Asian Bodybuilding Championship to be held in Kitakyusho, Japan on June 5-8.
Three lifters-M Rafiqul Islam (80 kgs), M Abu Sayeed Rana (75 kgs) and M Mahmudur Rahman (master category)-and one official (Team leader) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar will represent Bangladesh in the Asian meet.
Some 33 Asian countries, including China, Japan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Korea and Palestine, are expected to compete in the meet.
