This was Bangladesh basketball team’s second win in a row and they will be meeting title aspirants India today in a crucial match.
Nepal recorded an exciting 61-59 point win over host Maldives in the day’s second match.
Earlier on the inaugural day (Saturday), Bangladesh began their campaign defeating Nepal in their opening match in Male by 76-66 points.
Mithun Kumar Biswas was adjudged the best player of the match while defending champions India outplayed hosts Maldives by 84-42 points.
