Bangladesh national hockey team beat host Singapore by 3-0 goals in the 5th-8th place-deciding match of Hockey World League round 2 held on Friday in Singapore.
In the day’s match, Satul put Bangladesh ahead in the 13th minute while Jubayer doubled the lead for Bangladesh scoring a field goal in the 29th minute.
Mainul completed the tally scoring the third goal for Bangladesh in the 34th minute.
Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a 1-5 goal defeat to Asian giant Japan in their opening match, but bounced back in the tournament with a 6-1 goals victory over Mexico in second match. The boys in red and green finished their pool B match with a 0-5 goal defeat to Poland.
