Bangladesh Hockey team beat Sri Lanka by 3-1 goals in their second Group-B match of the Asian Games Hockey Qualifiers at Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on Tuesday.
By virtue of yesterday’s victory, Bangladesh confirmed their berth in the final round of the Asian Games Hockey Competition.
Ashraful Islam of Bangladesh put his team ahead using a penalty corner in the 18th minute of the play.
Khorshedur Rahman of Bangladesh doubled the margin by a penalty stroke in the 23rd minute of the match.
Warnakula of Sri Lanka reduced the margin in the 44th minute of the clash.
Roman Sarkar of Bangladesh sealed the fate of the match in the 53rd minute of the game.
Earlier, Bangladesh defeated Indonesia by 3-1 goals in their first Group-B match at the same venue on May 7.
Bangladesh will take on Singapore in their last Group-B match at the same venue on May 12.
